Before One Life
Before this I was doing my own thing in the gym, not really getting anywhere. Focus was always to lose weight but I had no structure and didn’t really know what I was doing — Google was my main info source. I was nervous to reach out because of gym anxiety, bad experiences with previous PTs, and a history of not being able to commit to a program.
Along the way
Super welcoming, no judgement, different environment to any other gym I’ve been to. The coaches push you when you need it but understand when life gets in the way. The hardest part has been battling my inner critic — but I’ve always come back because of the support and never feeling judged for falling off the wagon. I knew it was working when I started getting back on the wagon quicker, with less guilt.
Where I am now
Down 20+ kilos, way stronger physically and mentally than I ever have been. I don’t dread going to the gym anymore. I’ve learnt to accept myself, and I’ve learnt I’m way more capable than I thought.
